The end of year ITF junior rankings are more important than ever, as the top eight boys and girls now qualify for the ITF Junior Masters. The fi rst edition was held in 2015 in Chengdu, China, for the players who qualifi ed based on the 2014 rankings, and was won by Russia's Andrey Rublev and China's Xu Shilin. The ITF Junior Masters is a new component of the transition of the best juniors into professional tennis, along with the Junior Exempt project which has now been running for many years. The Top 10 boys and girls in the 2014 year-end rankings received Junior Exempt places into a range of professional tournaments in 2015. In junior team competitions, Korea Republic claimed its second boys' ITF World Junior Tennis title by winning in Prostejov, Czech Republic while Russia became champions for the sixth time by defeating USA to win the girls' event. In Madrid, Spain, Canada won its fi rst Junior Davis Cup by BNP Paribas title with a 2-1 win over Germany in the fi nal, while Czech Republic defeated USA to win the Junior Fed Cup by BNP Paribas for the fourth time. Players from the top three teams at the Junior Davis Cup and Junior Fed Cup Finals benefi tted from the ITF's 16-and-under team competition Feed-up System, gaining entry into higher- level ITF Junior Circuit tournaments. A similar system is used for the best 16-and-under players in each region, giving players a chance to get started on the ITF Junior Circuit.
