UPCOMING EVENTS LOOKING AHEAD 36 ITFWORLD SUMMER 2015 Great Britain is back in the Davis Cup semis for the first time since 1981 and has home advantage against Australia, back in the last four after a nine-year absence. The Belgians are also at home in their bid to reach the final for the first time, but will have to get past Argentina. The World Group Play-offs, with host nations listed first, feature India v Czech Republic, Switzerland v Netherlands, Russia v Italy, Uzbekistan v USA, Colombia v Japan, Dominican Republic v Germany, Brazil v Croatia and Poland v Slovakia. Other play-off ties will also take place to determine promotion and relegation in Davis Cup Zone Groups I and II. USA swept both Junior Davis Cup and Junior Fed Cup in 2014. I T F A N N UA L G E N E R A L M E E T I NG Santiago, Chile, 23-25 September A new ITF President and Board of Directors will be elected at the ITF's yearly gathering of member nations. The draw for the 2016 Davis Cup by BNP Paribas will also be held. I T F S U P E R- S E N I O R S WO R L D T E A M A N D I N D I V I DUA L C H A M P I O N S H I P S Umag and Novigrad, Croatia: 21-26 September and 27 September-4 October The most prestigious team and individual tournaments for players in age categories 65-plus to 85-plus take place in successive weeks. This is the third and final staging of these flagship events in 2015, which have now been split into three, rather than two, age bands. FED CUP BY BNP PARIBAS FINAL Prague, Czech Republic, 14-15 November The hugely successful Czech Fed Cup team gets to play a third final in four years at home in Prague, but standing in their way of a ninth title in the women's team competition are the Russians, pictured, themselves four-time champions. The five-day showpiece of the ITF's coach education programme offers a combination of coach education, the latest sport science information and practical on-court coaching presentations. The theme of the Conference is 'A Player-Centred Approach to Long-term Development: Participation to Performance.'
