INTO HISTORY Jiske Griffioen and Aniek van Koot, the world No. 2 and No. 3 respectively, between them claimed all eight of Netherlands' singles rubbers, the only one to go to a deciding set being van Koot's singles rubber against Great Britain's Lucy Shuker in the semifinals before the Dutch wrapped up a 2-0 win. Third seeds Japan, led by ITF World Champion Yui Kamiji, earned a minor upset over second seeds Germany in a dramatic semifinal that was settled in a match tiebreak in the deciding doubles. But there was no such drama in the final, with Griffioen beating Kamiji 64 63 to hand Netherlands another 2-0 victory just a week before Griffioen won the Roland Garros title and replaced Kamiji at the top of the rankings. There were two BNP Paribas World Team Cup titles for USA, the Americans taking home both the quad and junior trophies. USA extended its record as the most successful nation in the history of the quad event with a ninth title. While injuries hampered Great Britain's title defence, Israel and Italy advanced to the semifinals from their pool, with Japan joining USA in progressing to the last four after completing their round-robin ties. Japan subsequently ended Israel's run of wins in deciding doubles rubbers with a deciding doubles victory of its own. Shota Kawano went on to ensure the final would not be as one- sided as USA's win over Japan in their pool contest as he turned his earlier 62 63 loss to Nick Taylor into a 64 60 victory. However, Taylor and David Wagner, linchpins of USA's quad team for many years, took the doubles rubber against Kawano and Mitsuteru Moroishi 62 64 to leave USA unbeaten in three World Team Cup quad events in Antalya since 2010. The junior event was again supported by ITF Wheelchair Tennis programme partner, the Johan Cruyff Foundation. USA advanced to the semifinals with few problems before dethroning 2014 champion Russia 2-1 in a doubles decider. No doubles rubber was needed in the final as Casey Ratzlaff's win in a final set tiebreak in the first singles provided the catalyst for a 2-0 victory over Netherlands and a first junior title for USA in 13 years. Third seeded Spain won the men's World Group II title for the second time to claim its place in the World Group for the 2016 BNP Paribas World Team Cup which will be held in Japan for the first time. Daniel Caverzaschi and Roberto Chamizo, former members of a victorious Spanish junior team, sealed victory in the doubles in the World Group II final against South Africa. It was a ninth victory for the US quad team The Americans celebrate success in the junior event Yui Kamiji was beaten by Jiske Griffioen in the final Michael Jeremiasz helped defending champion France reach the final again www.itftennis.com
