28 Spring 2022 ITF World " NORWAY 1-3 KAZAKHSTAN Kazakhstan once again proved themselves a wily Davis Cup outfit as Alexander Bublik's victory over Casper Ruud – his second singles win of the tie – sealed his nation's place at the Finals for the third consecutive season. That's a win for the country and that's what we're here to do. It means a lot to our country and being in the Finals for the third consecutive time means we are a consistent team. BUBLIK " USA 4-0 COLOMBIA It proved a perfect week for USA who dispatched Colombia to reach the Finals. It was a victory sealed by Rajeev Ram and Jack Sock (both pictured) but one which also included debut success for Sebastian Korda. Korda's father, Petr, enjoyed a long and distinguished Davis Cup career. My dad played quite a bit of Davis Cup and, now, getting the opportunity myself, representing USA, is kind of cool. Hopefully I can represent USA for many years to come. KORDA " FRANCE 4-0 ECUADOR France booked their place at the Finals with a commanding victory over Ecuador, which included singles victories for Arthur Rinderknech, Adrian Mannarino and debutant Benjamin Bonzi and doubles success for the ever-reliable Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut. It's never easy to play a team where you are the favourite, but we respected our opponents a lot and that's why we managed to win. It's special for us because it's been a few years now that we couldn't play in these conditions. Through smiles, we embraced the atmosphere and we enjoyed this crowd.
