NETHERLANDS 4-0 CANADA
Netherlands captain Paul Haarhuis believes his
team will make their presence felt among the
competition's elite after confirming their place at
the Finals at the expense of Canada. All five members
of his team took to the court during a commanding
victory, including Wesley Koolhof (pictured), who
teamed up with Matwe Middelkoop in the doubles.
This team can go very far. On an individual basis,
they have it in them to beat almost anybody on
the tour. Obviously, they are not ranked within
the top 10 for a reason, but they have it in them
to beat anyone on their day. Let's see if we can
do some damage.

BRAZIL 1-3 GERMANY
Germany maintained their perfect record
in Davis Cup Qualifiers to reach the Finals
for the third time. With the tie level at 1-1,
unbeaten Davis Cup duo Kevin Krawietz
and Tim Puetz (both pictured) prevailed in
the doubles before Alexander Zverev sealed
victory.
It was probably the most fun week I
have had this year on court. I am looking
forward to what's ahead for this team,
because this team can be very strong.

SWEDEN 3-2 JAPAN
With Sweden shorn of their No. 1 player Mikael
Ymer through injury, responsibility fell on older
brother Elias to step forward and power his nation
to the Finals. Over the course of the tie, he won
three matches, including the all-important fifth
against Yosuke Watanuki.
I'm so proud of the team and it's so fun to be
at the Davis Cup Finals again," said Ymer, who
was described as a "role model" by his captain
Robin Soderling. "Madrid was so much fun last
year and now we all have something to look
forward to again.
