Development Fourteen players from seven African na ons had full- me training and schooling at the African Regional Training Centre in Sousse, Tunisia in 2024. Between them these players won 26 ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors tles, and Tunisia's Alaa Trifi reached the junior Top 60. The centre achieved Bronze recogni on for its facili es in 2024 (see page 46) and hosted the ITF/ Confedera on of African Tennis Regional Coaches Conference. The Pacific Oceania Regional Development Programme provided enhanced coaching and compe ve opportuni es for 657 players and 417 school children in 11 na ons, supported by 72 coaches. A pilot touring team programme was launched involving four players aged 14 and 15 from four countries. They competed in major events in the region and trained for several weeks in New Zealand. 14-and-under development The ITF is reviewing the important 14-and-under development stage and working with our key stakeholders to create and implement a player pathway that provides an effec ve transi on for boys and girls in this age group into the ITF World Junior Tennis team compe on and the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors.
