In its 61st year, we con nued to increase
the global footprint of Billie Jean King
Cup by Gainbridge, as a record 134
na ons competed in the largest annual
women's team compe on in sport.
Joint Finals
For the first me in history, the Finals of
Billie Jean King Cup and Davis Cup were
held in the same venue, a er a late move
relocated the Billie Jean King Cup Finals
to Malaga, Spain in November.
We staged Billie Jean King Cup followed
by Davis Cup with a two-day overlap at
the Mar n Carpena Arena, with separate
compe on courts but combined
team zones, prac ce courts, fan
zone and hospitality provision.
With 20 na onal teams on site,
it was a unique celebra on of
the World Cup of Tennis.
The Billie Jean King Cup
Finals overcame the ini al
challenge of a one-day
delay to their start,
caused by severe
flooding in the region.
The women's World Cup of Tennis enjoyed another year of growth
in 2024. The event was capped by Italy li ing the Billie Jean King
Cup trophy for the first me in 11 years.
