2022 ITF Annual Review 56 COMMERCIAL Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge The 2022 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge was shown via 143 broadcasters, covering over 196 markets around the world. The Finals in Glasgow were watched by 9.2 million people on linear TV and digital streaming pla orms. European networks aired a total 1,578 hours of broadcast coverage, represen ng 63% of total viewership, reflec ng the fact that eight of the 12 na ons in ac on were from Europe. An audience of 1.4 million watched Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR's coverage of Switzerland li ing the trophy for the first me in history. Earlier in the year, the Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers a racted a total global audience of 6.9 million from 693 hours of coverage. Gainbridge will con nue to support the goal of equal prize money throughout their tle partnership, which extends to 2027. Tory Burch creates first women's winners' jacket Tory Burch joined as another new Billie Jean King Cup partner in June 2022, as official outfi er to the compe on through 2025. The mission of the women's luxury clothing label is to empower women and female entrepreneurs, and their partnership also supports the work of Advantage All. The company created 'Billie Blue' jackets for the winning 2022 team and the victorious Swiss were presented with them at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, marking the first me that winners' jackets have been awarded in women's professional sport. Tory Burch also supplied uniforms for the ball kids and officials. Tennis Clash and ITF enter esports arena In early 2023 the ITF and Wildlife Studios announced a new licensing partnership which means that the mobile game Tennis Clash will be played in ITF-sanc oned esports compe ons. Wildlife Studios are the producers of Tennis Clash, the world's most popular tennis game, and the ini a ve will take tennis to new audiences. Gamers have the chance to compete in online tennis gaming events such as the Olympic Esports Series 2023, which concluded with live finals in Singapore in June. Broadcast The ITF brought tennis ac on to more audiences around the world than ever before in 2022 by producing vision and content from a range of ITF events and delivering it to broadcast partners globally through our broadcast agreements.
