According to the results of our regular surveys, the average player sa sfac on score was 5.9 out of 7 from 12,332 unique responses. The best tournaments iden fied from this survey are recognised with an award. The ITF World Tennis Number (WTN) was introduced as a secondary way to enter Masters tournaments in 2022 to ensure these events are accessible to as many people as possible. Where tournaments have a maximum draw size, the primary method of acceptance 2022 ITF Annual Review 35 to play remains an individual's ITF Masters ranking, but where a player does not own a ranking, a WTN can now be used. More compe ve opportuni es In March 2023 the ITF offered a 30- plus age band for the first me at the ITF World Team Championships, as part of the ITF's ongoing goal to provide even more compe ve opportuni es. We are working to increase the number of na ons represented on the tour, and to introduce tournaments in na ons or regions where there is currently limited ac vity. From 2023 we have made the bidding process for hos ng the World Championships more flexible to enable more venues to apply. Poten al hosts can now bid to stage events for a minimum of two age groups rather than three. As a result, in March 2023 the Ali Bey Club in Antalya, Turkiye hosted five age groups, and Portugal will host two age groups in August. The ITF's long-term strategy for Masters tennis will con nue to focus on growing the tour in terms of tournaments and players, a rac ng new people to take part, and making sure we provide a first-class, enjoyable experience for those that do. Formerly known as the ITF Seniors Tour, the tour was rebranded and renamed the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour in 2022.
