2021 ITF Annual Review 57 COMMERCIAL The 2021 Finals secured a total dedicated viewership of 38 million, spanning more markets than ever before. The majority of audiences who tuned in to the Finals, held in Prague, watched via linear TV networks (19.6 million; 94.1% of total). European markets accounted for the most audiences and coverage, with 14.1 million viewers (67.9%) and 1,597 hours of coverage (40%). Davis Cup by Rakuten All four Davis Cup World Group I and II es in March 2021 were broadcast, with two out of the four shown interna onally. Coverage was further enhanced for the September World Group I Play-off es, where broadcast was available across eight es, six of which were distributed interna onally. World Group II also saw four domes c broadcasts, with one e shown interna onally. As part of our Davis Cup partnership with Kosmos Tennis, the ITF supported broadcast opera ons and rightsholder servicing at all three 2021 Finals venues in Austria, Italy and Spain. The World Group events and Finals were also made available for streaming via the ITF's Davis Cup live pla orm. BNP Paribas World Team Cup The produc on of the na on-versus- na on wheelchair team event in Italy was installed on site with a local produc on company, supplemented by the ITF. Interna onal broadcast partners Eurosport, and Sport 5 (Israel), as well as the Interna onal Paralympic Commi ee, all received feeds of the event for broadcast. Junior Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas The produc on and domes c coverage of the junior team compe ons in Turkey was managed by TRT, who also produced an interna onal feed for our longstanding ITF broadcast partners of these events, TYC (Argen na) and Tennis Channel Interna onal. The Olympic Channel also streamed them in 2021. ITF Beach Tennis World Cup ITF Beach Tennis benefi ed from sports marke ng company Koch Tavares taking an interest in the 2021 Rio de Janeiro-based World Cup with subsequent domes c broadcast deals confirmed with Brazilian broadcasters TV Globo and TVN. Bringing historic footage back to life We have con nued to invest in digi sing archived footage of ITF events, including the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup. The content is available via an online archive to ITF partners and Na onal Associa ons, showcasing the rich history and memories of the compe ons. The archive provided extremely valuable content, including key moments and highlights, for interna onal broadcasters and ITF social media channels during the break in tennis ac on caused by Covid-19. The revenue from archive sales has been steadily increasing year on year and will con nue to act as another form of reinvestment back into the game.
