The balls that pass this tes ng are recognised with the 'ITF Approved' mark of quality. The ITF also tests player analysis technology (PAT). This includes any equipment that collects, stores, transmits, analyses or communicates informa on on player performance, whether it be a standalone device or incorporated within exis ng equipment. It is mandatory for all tennis balls and PAT used in a tournament to be tested and approved by the ITF in advance to ensure it conforms to specifica ons set out in the official Rules of Tennis. We also manage a court pace classifica on programme, which is designed to help those wan ng to install courts to assess the type and speed of a par cular surface. Following ITF tes ng, courts are given a Court Pace Ra ng from 1 (slowest) to 5 (fastest). Our court recogni on programme tests the quality of court surface installa ons by measuring slope, evenness and dimensions. Once they have been cer fied by the ITF, they are labelled with an 'ITF recognised supplier' logo and listed as an ITF recognised court. During 2021, tes ng and administra on fees from the ITF's ball, equipment and court cer fica on programmes generated over $1 million, which will be re-invested into growing the sport.
