Line-calling technology
Following a joint evalua on process
involving all tennis governing bodies,
in 2021 FOXTENN Live became the
second electronic line-calling system,
a er Hawk-Eye Live in 2020, to be
eligible for use as a real- me solu on.
Live systems such as these, which
eliminate the need for line umpires,
provided significant benefits for
tournaments during the pandemic,
by reducing the number of personnel
required on site.
Tes ng and classifica on
The ITF Science and Technical
department is also responsible for
tes ng equipment and technology
to ensure quality and consistency
of performance.
