Facilities
The ITF provides grants to na ons
to build new na onal training centres,
or extend and maintain exis ng
centres and facili es.
In 2021, as a result of our funding,
the following countries all completed
facility upgrade projects despite the
challenges of Covid-19: Albania,
Belize, Bhutan, Fiji, Guatemala, Hong
Kong, Ireland, Paraguay, Portugal and
Turkmenistan.
As part of our Na onal Training
Centre Recogni on Programme, which
acknowledges when facili es around
the world meet a par cular standard,
Britain's Lawn Tennis Associa on
became the third na on to be awarded
gold level. This is the highest er of
recogni on, only previously achieved
by the United States Tennis Associa on
and the French Tennis Federa on.
Five na ons to date have received
recogni on across gold, silver and
bronze levels, with 10 more working
towards this mark of quality in 2022.
