Jelena Ostapenko was the shock champ in 2017, but this year Paris will be awaiting the Grand Slam return of three-time winner Serena Williams. BNP Paribas World Team Cup APELDOORN, NETHERLANDS 28 May-2 June Wheelchair tennis's answer to Davis Cup and Fed Cup returns to Netherlands, with the Dutch women bidding to regain the title they surprisingly lost to the Chinese last year. France are the defending men's champions. JUNE ITF World Champions Dinner PARIS, FRANCE 5 June The ITF's annual awards dinner, hosted at the Pavillon Cambon Capucines, will celebrate the 2017 ITF World Champions and Philippe Chatrier Award winner Evonne Goolagong Cawley. JULY Wimbledon LONDON, GREAT BRITAIN 2-15 July Another Wimbledon, and another chance for Roger Federer to extend his record haul of major titles at his favourite tournament, assuming he can continue to keep the youngsters at bay. It looks to be an open field in the women's event, where Garbine Muguruza will be hoping to repeat her 2017 success. AUGUST ITF Beach Tennis World Championships CERVIA, ITALY 2-4 August With Italy's beautiful Adriatic coast hosting for the sixth straight year, this event decides which beach tennis pairs take home the coveted men's and women's World Championship titles. ITF Beach Tennis World Team Championship MOSCOW, RUSSIA 7-12 August Beach tennis's flagship team event, now in its seventh year, returns to the Russian capital. Italy are defending champions in the main competition, while Venezuela won last year's 14-and-under junior event. AUGUST ITF World Junior Tennis Finals PROSTEJOV, CZECH REPUBLIC 6-11 August The finale of the ITF's international team event for 14-and-unders brings together the top 16 boys and girls national teams who have come through qualifying. Last year's champions were USA (girls) and Switzerland (boys). ITF Conference and AGM ORLANDO, FL, USA 13-16 August 'Delivering tennis for future generations' is the theme of this year's annual assembly, with the USTA hosting four days of discussion, collaboration and decision-making. ITF Seniors World Team and World Individual Championships ULM AND NEU-ULM, GERMANY 12-18 August and 18-25 August Competitors in the middle age bracket of ITF Seniors competition – the 50-60 years age categories – will travel to Germany for the most prestigious events of their season.
