131 I started really well at 5-0 up, but then I went down even though I managed to win the first set 6-3. From that moment on, I started to lose energy and I was not in good physical condition. But in the fourth set things changed and I started to recover. When it came to Beijing, I was there with lots of pressure as I was the winner of the last Games. All the journalists were looking for me, like they were looking for the winners of Grand Slams. It was nice. Fernando: I have my medals really well guarded and safe. It is something I will keep with me for the rest of my life. I'm really proud of being able to play such a great tennis level in the two Games I took part in. I feel people remember it and they show me affection when we talk about those days. Nicolas: My medals are at my mum's home in Vina del Mar, in my room. When I left Athens, I forgot my medals under my pillow. I had put them there to be sure they were safe. But the last night I only slept two hours and when I got to the airport I started looking for them desperately. Luckily Fernando got the medals and brought them to the United States for me. Fernando: Living in the Olympic Village is a big part of the Games. It is one of the best things an athlete can do. It makes no sense not staying there or sharing those days with the rest of the competitors. We are the same there. Nicolas: Being there is the best. The Olympic Games were lucky for me, and I have always had good memories around them. Fernando: I would tell anyone, they have to enjoy the experience. This is something more than just tennis. As a tennis player we only have very few chances to be there. Nicolas: I don't know if I will be in Rio with our Davis Cup players. It's hard as we have to improve a lot. Only the top 70 tennis players in the rankings have a chance to be at the Games and nowadays our best tennis player is in the Top 150. Fernando: There are still lots of months to go but maybe the ones that are nowadays at the top of the rankings would be the best candidates for gold in Rio. [Novak] Djokovic of course, [Roger] Federer also... and be careful with Rafa Nadal. He has a lot of time to be fit again and he is a phenomenon. When I left Athens I forgot my medals under my pillow. I had put them there to be sure they were safe.
