I
don't remember exactly what was the
feeling in the moment I won the bronze
medal. I think that the moment itself
wasn't as impactful as the journey I had
to go through to get on that podium. It was
a very emotional journey, with lots of ups
and downs.
When I was dreaming of competing in
the Olympic Games, I was always very
emotional when watching the medals
ceremonies because they were showing
the road to that medal on TV and talking
about how tough it was to get there. That's
how it felt. It was a collection of emotions
that I gathered before the actual ceremony
that made the medal so special and dear
to me. I was very grateful to stand on that
podium and be part of history.
It definitely gave me the confidence,
the boost, and the opportunity
do something bigger than before.
