29 ITF Beach Tennis Tour Rules and Regulations 2016 (e) the Beach Tennis Commission has the right to ask a national association to produce evidence to show how a player is qualified to represent that nation. Note: a player who represented a nation under the rules in force in 1994 or prior thereto, shall continue to be eligible to represent that nation even if he/she is no longer qualified to do so under the amended terms of this regulation. GENDER VERIFICATION GENDER VERIFICATION GENDER VERIFICATION GENDER VERIFICATION In any competition, a player may be required upon request to submit to gender verification to determine sexual status. In the event that the gender of a player is questioned, the medical delegate (or equivalent) of the ITF shall have the authority to take all appropriate measures for the determination of the gender of a competitor. The results of any tests conducted will not be made public out of deference to the human rights of the individual concerned but will be reported to the Chairman of the ITF Sport Science and Medicine Commission who shall advise the Board of Directors of the gender of the player concerned. Individuals undergoing sex reassignment from male to female after puberty (and the converse) are eligible for participation in female or male competitions, respectively, under the following conditions: a) Surgical anatomical changes have been completed, including external genitalia changes and gonadectomy. b) Legal recognition of their assigned sex has been conferred by the appropriate official authorities. c) Hormonal therapy appropriate for the assigned sex has been administered in a verifiable manner and for a sufficient length of time to minimise gender-related advantages in sport competitions. d) Eligibility should begin no sooner than two years after gonadectomy. In all instances, a confidential case-by-case evaluation will occur.
