24 ITF Beach Tennis Tour Rules and Regulations 2016 ITF Beach Tennis World Ranking points will be awarded to players based on their team's final standing for that year. To receive Ranking points, a player must have played and won a minimum of one (1) doubles match. Players in a team that finishes in a top four position must win a minimum of two (2) doubles matches to receive full points or one (1) match to receive 50% of points available. See Appendix B for available points. 2. 2. 2. 2. Each nation has the right to include a non-playing captain in their team or to nominate a playing member of their team as captain. In order to be eligible to compete, a team must have a minimum of two (2) male players and two (2) female players onsite and available to play. If, for reasons of health, injury, bereavement or exceptional circumstance, a team is unable to meet this requirement, such team will be permitted to participate only if written approval is obtained from the ITF prior to the start of the Competition. b) b) b) b) Entry Entry Entry Entry and Nomination and Nomination and Nomination and Nomination The entry form and nomination form must be completed by the National Association and submitted to the ITF before the entry deadline. A completed Eligibility form and passport copy must be submitted at the time of nomination for any team member (including the captain) who has not previously competed in the WTC. c) c) c) c) Change of Nomination Change of Nomination Change of Nomination Change of Nomination Nomination changes can be made up to one (1) hour before the draw but should be notified to the ITF at least 7 days in advance where possible. Two nominations may be changed up to one hour before the draw and must be made in writing and submitted to the ITF by the National Association. Changes to nominations made less than 24 hours prior to the draw must be made in writing and submitted by the team Captain to both the Referee and to the ITF. A change to the nomination of the team captain must be submitted by the National Association in all cases. Changes to team nominations shall be taken into account when determining the final seedings. d) d) d) d) Role Of The Captain Role Of The Captain Role Of The Captain Role Of The Captain Off-court: The captain is responsible for all communication between officials and/or ITF and the team. The captain must inform his/her players of the information from the captains' meeting. The captain is responsible for the conduct of all members of his/her squad including the punctuality of teams for the start of each match. On court: During each match in a tie, only the captain of a team may remain on the team bench and communicate with the players competing in the match. If the captain is playing in a match or is unable to fulfil his on-court commitment, one nominated
