These included samples collected under the Athlete Biological Passport. From the samples collected under the TADP in 2014, no Anti-Doping Rule Violations had been reported at the time of writing. With the impending introduction of the 2015 version of the WADA Code, the Anti-Doping Working Group devoted considerable time to preparing the 2015 TADP to be fully Code-compliant. Included among the changes that have been made are the requirement for players to provide six months' notice of return to competition following retirement and prohibition of audio and/or video recordings during sample collection. In 2014, the ITF continued in its role as manager and enforcer of the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme (TADP) on behalf of professional tennis. These events included Davis Cup by BNP Paribas and Fed Cup by BNP Paribas, Grand Slam tournaments, ATP and WTA-sanctioned events and Pro Circuit events. The 2014 TADP was compliant with the WADA Code. Meetings of the independent Review Board and Therapeutic Use Exemption Committee were held in 2014 to discuss their respective areas of responsibility under the TADP and to ensure that their activities continued to be conducted in accordance with the TADP. In 2014, a total of 3,529 samples were collected under the TADP. These included 1,346 blood samples collected from men (38 per cent of the total and a 68 per cent increase compared to 2013) and 2,183 urine samples (62 per cent). In-competition testing was conducted on five continents, and totalled 2,090 samples collected at 68 events. Both urine and blood samples were collected, and all samples were taken with no advance notice to the athlete. Out-of-competition testing, including those based on the 'whereabouts' provided by members of the International Registered Testing Pool resulted in a total of 1,439 samples being collected (41 per cent of all samples). 2014 Testing Summary In-competition testing (urine) Total Specimens Male Specimens Female Specimens Total 1883 1038 845 In-competition testing (blood) Total Specimens Male Specimens Female Specimens Total 207 106 101 Out-of-competition testing (urine) Total Specimens Male Specimens Female Specimens Total 300 169 131 Out-of-competition testing (blood) Total Specimens Male Specimens Female Specimens Total 1139 612 527 Total testing (in- and out-of-competition, urine and blood) Total Specimens Male Specimens Female Specimens Total 3529 1925 1604 28 SCIENCE & TECHNICAL: ANTI-DOPING ANTI-DOPING
