5 ITF Beach Tennis Tour Rules and Regulations 2015 4. Players Eligible Only players who are under the jurisdiction of a national tennis association affiliated to the ITF may compete in any of the tournaments that comprise the ITF Beach Tennis Tour. Players must be in "good standing" with their national association as defined in Appendix A of these ITF Beach Tennis Tour Rules and Regulations. Tournaments are open to male and female players – men's events are open only to male players; women's events are open only to female players – however that minors under the age of fourteen (14) shall not be eligible to compete in events offering ITF Beach Tennis Ranking points. 5. Rules to be Observed a) The Competition is open to all beach tennis players based on merit and without discrimination subject only to the conditions herein set forth. b) The Competition shall take place in accordance with these Rules and Regulations, the ITF Beach Tennis Tour Code of Conduct, the Constitution of ITF Limited and the ITF Rules of Beach Tennis. c) In submitting an application, a tournament automatically undertakes to abide by and fulfil all its obligations under the above Rules and Regulations. d) In submitting an entry to a tournament sanctioned by the ITF as a constituent tournament of the Tour, a player automatically undertakes to commit him/herself to abide by and be bound by the above Rules and Regulations. e) Any player that enters and/or participates in the ITF Beach Tennis Tour, and any Player Support Team Member of any player that enters and/or participates in the ITF Beach Tennis Tour shall be bound by and shall comply with the provisions of the Welfare Policy set out in Appendix E and the Uniform Tennis Anti-Corruption Program set out in Appendix F. C. MANAGEMENT 1. Board of Directors a) Management The ITF Beach Tennis Tour shall be managed by the Board of Directors of the ITF. b) Duties The duties of the Board of Directors shall be: i. To approve, adopt and amend the Rules and Regulations and Code of Conduct for the Tour. ii. To resolve any dispute, controversy or other questions of interpretation in accordance with Appendix D of the Constitution of the ITF Limited. iii. To register in the name of the ITF any trade marks in connection with the Tour and to protect such trade marks iv. The Board of Directors shall appoint every two years a Beach Tennis Commission which shall consist of a Chairman, who shall be a member of the Board of Directors, and further members as deemed necessary. 2. Beach Tennis Commission The duties and powers of the Beach Tennis Commission shall be: a) To manage the Tour. b) To ensure uniform application of, and compliance with, the Rules and Regulations and Code of Conduct. c) To administer the funds of the Tour within the financial framework of the ITF. d) To report to the Board of Directors on all financial matters.
