The first Italians to win a senior Wimbledon title, Errani and Vinci were also the first women's doubles pair to win all four Grand Slam tournaments since Venus and Serena Williams did so in 2001. Germany's Anna-Lena Groenefeld and the Dutchman Jean-Julien Rojer, who were unseeded, won the mixed doubles title in Paris, beating Julia Goerges and Nenad Zimonjic 46 62 [10-7] in the final. Roland Garros was the first tournament they had played together. Zimonjic, in partnership with Sam Stosur, made up for his disappointment at Wimbledon. The Serb and the Australian, playing together for only the second time, won the title by beating Max Mirnyi and Chan hao-Ching 64 62 in the final. The victory completed Zimonjic's haul of mixed doubles Grand Slam titles.
