FOREWORD
The ITF is the international governing body for tennis, including beach tennis. It aims to
provide, promote and develop opportunities for men, women and children to participate in
recreational and competitive beach tennis at all levels.
As the governing body of tennis, the ITF provides a leading role in the administration of
beach tennis. The ITF aims to ensure that a fair and equal opportunity is provided for all
those entitled to play under its eligibility rules and that the Rules of Beach Tennis are
implemented according to the standards expected of an international body.
Note: Except where otherwise stated, every reference in these ITF Rules of Beach Tennis to
the masculine includes the feminine gender.
References to the International Tennis Federation or ITF shall hereafter mean ITF
Limited.
