provided that any decision in this respect shall only be valid if at least nine members are present and it is carried by a majority of no less than two-thirds of those present and voting. (c) If a Nation which is eligible to take part in the World Group does not enter or withdraws prior to the Draw, its place shall be taken by another Nation, selected by the Fed Cup Committee from the Nations that lost in the World Group Play-off Round based on the Fed Cup Nations Ranking. If a Nation which is eligible to take part in World Group II does not enter or withdraws, its place shall be taken by another Nation, selected by the Fed Cup Committee from the Nations that lost in the World Group II Play-off Round, based on the Fed Cup Nations Ranking. (d) If, before the Draw is to take place, a Nation which is eligible to take part in the World Group ceases to exist, or is divided into two or more Nations, or is absorbed in whole or in part by another Nation, its place shall be taken by a Nation to be selected by the Fed Cup Committee from the newly created Nations and the Nations that lost in the World Group Play-off Round, based on the Fed Cup Nations Ranking. If, before the Draw is to take place, a Nation which is eligible to take part in the World Group II Competition ceases to exist, or is divided into two or more Nations, or is absorbed in whole or in part by another Nation, its place shall be taken by a Nation to be selected by the Fed Cup Committee from the newly created Nations and the Nations who competed in World Group II Play-off Round, based on the Fed Cup Nations Ranking. RULES AND REGULATIONS (a) The Competition shall take place in accordance with these Regulations, the Constitution of ITF Limited, the Rules of Tennis, the Fed Cup Code of Conduct (hereinafter set forth in Appendix B) and the Fed Cup Commercial and Operational Guidelines (see Regulation 54). (b) In submitting an entry a Nation, and its team members, including the Captain, undertake to abide by and fulfil all their obligations under these Rules and Regulations and the Fed Cup Code of Conduct. Any Nation and its team members, including the Captain, failing to honour this undertaking shall be subject to penalties as prescribed in these Rules and Regulations or the Fed Cup Code of Conduct respectively. (c) In submitting an entry, a Nation, its Officers, Directors, Employees and its team members agree, as a condition of entry, that for themselves, their executors, administrators, heirs and personal representatives, all claims of any kind, nature and description are waived, including past, present or future claims and injuries, if any sustained in travelling to or from, or participating in the Competition, against the ITF, the Home Nation/Host Nation and Sponsors of the Competition. (d) Insurance – The National Association shall ensure that appropriate travel, medical, and personal accident insurance is in place for their players and player support team members while travelling to and from 2
