To date in 2026, Sri Lanka and Suriname have benefited from these facility grants. World Tennis also provides online resources to National Associations via the World Tennis Academy to help them identify funding opportunities and promote projects to potential funders. As well as providing quality training bases to nurture national talent, many of the upgraded or new facilities are then able to host World Tennis Tour men's, women and junior tournaments and Davis Cup competition. Facilities IMPROVING World Tennis awards grants to nations to build new training centres, upgrade existing ones and maintain facilities. Targeting 100 recognised centres For National Training Centres (NTCs), we have a recognition programme which sets standards globally through tiered levels of recognition. This structure ensures the best possible training and development experience is in place for players at home when they are not competing. Thirty-two facilities around the world have now been recognised at Gold, Silver, Bronze or White level, including five to date in 2026: Kazakhstan, Oman, Moldova, Turkmenistan and Uruguay. A further 29 facilities are engaged in the recognition process, and our ambition is to have 100 National Training Centres recognised globally. As well as raising standards, NTC recognition provides a formal audit of a nation's training facilities which can be used to attract external investment from government agencies, National Olympic Committees and private sponsors. We are giving six of our recognised NTCs, one in each region, targeted financial and technical support through the NTC Support Programme pilot, to further strengthen national player development systems worldwide. 39 l We Are World Tennis 2026 Development
