I am excited to present this review of our activities. World Tennis is beginning a new chapter, and it has been a game changing, and positive, year. With our new name comes a new strategy for growth. Our plans for 2026-27 are based around five key priorities, shown left. These are not new priorities but instead provide a clear focus for directing our efforts and investment as we take the sport into the future. Increasing the number of people playing tennis globally is an important goal for us, and our new participation target of 140 million is our north star. We will work hard with our member National Associations to expand the sport and give more people the opportunity to play tennis. This will ensure we keep the recreational and amateur game healthy. It will also start talented players on a journey which takes them along World Tennis's player pathway – a pathway that we are constantly enhancing to ensure the very best men and women, wherever they come from, can move through the levels to the top of the professional game. We know the importance of Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup and all our nation-based team competitions in providing opportunities for players to officially represent their countries in team competitions. These events provide career highlights and memorable experiences for players, and inspiration and excitement for the millions of would-be players and fans following them around the world. At World Tennis we are working to balance the integrity of the sport with innovation that will future-proof tennis in a rapidly changing, increasingly digital world, where many other sports, leisure and cultural activities compete for people's attention. Modernising in the best way for tennis, and to address these challenges, is a priority. So that World Tennis can achieve everything that we aspire to, we are creating more revenue streams and commercial partnerships to attract greater investment to the sport. This will support our initiatives to develop the game globally, strengthen the sport's presence in existing markets, help us grow new markets, and generate engagement from all over the world. I am pleased that, through Davis Cup, we have built significant commercial momentum in 2026, headlined by our new presenting partner Generali. Commercial support of Billie Jean King Cup is also strong, and Gainbridge's title partnership is in its fifth year. You can read more about our growing commercial portfolio on page 46 and we expect further new partnerships before year-end. I would like to extend my thanks to all our commercial partners for believing in our vision and joining us for an exciting future. We are proud to be an organisation that focuses on nurturing the growth of tennis from grassroots to Grand Slams and beyond. Tennis offers a world of opportunities for everyone, and we want to offer people of all abilities, ages and backgrounds the opportunity to play. Tennis delivers so many health, emotional, social and competitive benefits as well as life development skills. We offer tennis for life, because tennis matters – enabling incredible experiences, rewarding careers, and healthier, happier and longer lives. We know our sport's special qualities and want to share them with as many people as possible. We have a clear vision for the future, and with the support of those who share this vision, will take tennis forward with immense love for the game.
