Tennis is one of the world's most followed sports, with global stars and billions of fans following its iconic competitions. of 140 million people playing tennis by 2035. But we cannot reach this in isolation. To achieve real growth and a sustainable future for tennis, a collective approach across the whole sport is needed – from local clubs, nations and regions to the ATP, WTA, Grand Slam events, industry partners and players. The sport wins when we unite behind a shared purpose, and I hope we can do that to ensure tennis thrives for generations to come. Celebrating success We Are World Tennis 2026 summarises our work and achievements over the last year, and sets out our plans for future growth around our five priorities. There is plenty to celebrate, and I encourage you to read about everything we are doing to make a difference. I will mention a few things. Our pathway for performance players is in good health, and we are on track to stage a record 1,060 tournaments on the World Tennis Tour Juniors in 2026, and more than 1,250 across the men's and women's World Tennis Tour. Together, these tours form the essential pipeline that takes talented players from aspiring juniors to the elite level of our sport, and over the last five years we have consistently invested in creating more competitive opportunities in more countries, with greater prizemoney and a more equal gender balance. All the current ATP and WTA Top 200 came through our player pathway, and it is instrumental in shaping the future of the professional game. In 2026, the number of children to take part in our Junior Tennis Initiative over the past three decades reached 5.5 million. This grassroots programme introduces kids age 14 and under to tennis through schools and local communities in more than 120 nations every year and provides a competition structure for promising boys and girls. We are thrilled to have reached this milestone and have plans in 2026-27 to expand the Junior Tennis Initiative further. Finally, I will highlight that in 2026, wheelchair tennis is celebrating its 50th anniversary. We are immensely proud of this landmark achievement and are indebted to the efforts of the player pioneers, tournament organisers, commercial partners and the many others who helped turn the sport into what it is today. Wheelchair tennis is a Paralympic sport with a professional global tour with more than 170 events every year, fully integrated into the Grand Slam tournaments and giving more people around the world the opportunity to play tennis. Our work at World Tennis is supported by our commercial partners. I would like to thank them for their valued partnership, which makes much of what we do possible. I will close by thanking our member National Associations and affiliated Regional Associations for their collaboration and tireless efforts. We are united by our shared love of the game, and our determination to see it thrive for generations to come. 5 l We Are World Tennis 2026 Welcome
