Performance POWERING We work in partnership with our member nations to develop players, including in under-resourced and under-represented countries, and ensure they have access to the player pathway. Our goal is to increase the spread of nations competing at the top level of tennis. During 2026, 227 players from 82 nations received assistance for their development via one of the following: player grants, touring teams, training camps, training centres or training programmes. Funding for player grants and touring teams is given annually by the four Grand Slam tournaments (Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open) via the Grand Slam Player Development Programme (GSPDP), which provided $3.2 million in 2026. The GSPDP is operated by World Tennis. Training camps, training centres and training programmes are funded and run by World Tennis. Player grants Grand Slam Player Grants are financed by the GSPDP, and World Tennis modelling determines which players are selected for support. In 2026, grants were given to 65 professional and junior players from 42 countries, with players receiving awards ranging from $12,500 to $50,000. World Tennis helps talented players reach their full potential by investing in player performance where it's needed most. 36 We Are World Tennis 2026 l Development
