World Tennis has several programmes
aimed at growing tennis participation
from the grassroots up. We collaborate
with our huge network of National
Associations to increase the number
of recreational players and enable
more people of all ages and abilities
to enjoy the health, social and
community benefits of our sport.

Junior Tennis Initiative grows
World Tennis's Junior Tennis
Initiative (JTI) is a global
programme available to our
member nations worldwide to
introduce children aged 14 and
under to tennis in sessions held in
schools and local communities.
In the 30 years since it was
launched, the JTI has put rackets
in the hands of approximately
5.5 million children around the
world. Since 2021 alone, 1.5 million
children have taken part, and World
Tennis's ambition is to expand the
programme to reach even more
children every year.
