being generated for over 2.1 million players. Overall, 174 na ons have signed up to adopt the WTN (see graphic right). The WTN's use for tournament entry expanded in 2024. Two Regional Associa ons, OTF (Oceania) and COTECC (Central America and Caribbean) began digital projects based around WTN, and all six Regional Associa ons agreed that the WTN can be used as a method of tournament entry for regional junior tours from 2025. Sweden replaced its na onal rankings with a ranking based on the WTN. In April 2025, the ITF World Tennis Tour adopted the WTN as a method of tournament entry. It has been accepted on the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors and Masters tours since 2022, and is also the exclusive official global ra ng of the Intercollegiate Tennis Associa on, the governing body of US college tennis. ITF World Par cipa on Conference We held our fi h World Par cipa on Conference in October 2024 with the theme 'Tennis, the Sport for Life'. Staged for the first me during the ITF Conference and AGM in Hong Kong, China, 205 delegates from 130 na ons and all six Regional Associa ons took part in presenta ons and discussions rela ng to different aspects of par cipa on. Argen ne par cipa on project We con nued to work collabora vely with the Argen ne Tennis Associa on (AAT) in 2024, extending an ini al 12-month project to drive mass par cipa on in the country and ensure that tennis is accessible for all. ITF funding for grassroots projects is being delivered through the JTI, community ini a ves for all ages in marginalised areas, and reten on programmes within Buenos Aires. The AAT is targe ng an increase in par cipa on of one million players to 5.5 million by 2030. Since the project began in 2023, they have used the support provided to ini ate a na onal promo onal campaign and have introduced new par cipa on programmes for specific groups.
