Success stories from the programme in 2024 included Roland Garros junior champion Tereza Valentova of Czechia, whose professional ranking rose 438 places to No. 242 by the end of the year, and Joel Schwaerzler of Austria, who jumped 824 places to No. 333. Thirteen players from 10 na ons converted Junior Reserved Places into ITF World Tennis Tour tles at those events. We improved the elite player pathway further by increasing the ranking points available at the ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals, with 850 points (up from 750) awarded to the winning boy and girl at our best-of-the best tournament in October. Girls' champion Emerson Jones of Australia won her first professional tle at W75 Sydney a few weeks later. Jones, alongside boys' counterpart Nicolai Budkov Kjaer of Norway, finished 2024 as ITF Junior World Champion. Suppor ng tournaments We introduced two awards in 2024 to recognise the vital work of tournaments as the lifeblood of the tour. The Tournament Recogni on - Standards Award celebrates events which receive the very best player feedback for their services, while the Tournament Recogni on - Longevity Award is given for tournaments that have run for 25 or more consecu ve years. Record na ons compe ng A record number of na ons took part in our junior team compe ons. In the ITF World Junior Tennis compe on for 14-and-unders, 113 countries were represented (109 na ons in the boys event and 98 na ons in the girls). In the 16-and-under events, 114 na ons took part – 110 in Davis Cup Juniors and 98 in Billie Jean King Cup Juniors by Gainbridge. ITF World Junior Tennis celebrated its 25th anniversary, and the Finals were held once more in Prostejov. The hos ng Czechs claimed their third successive girls tle, while USA were victorious for the boys. Davis Cup Juniors and Billie Jean King Juniors were staged in Antalya, Turkiye, with USA winning both tles. Educa on The ITF is con nuing with its 'one sport' approach towards the educa on of players, support team members and tournament officials, working in partnership with the Grand Slam tournaments, ATP, WTA and the Interna onal Tennis Integrity Agency. Mandatory courses were introduced in 2024 for all players compe ng on the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors. Players must take four courses covering key areas including tour regula ons, procedures, values, integrity and safeguarding to maintain access to IPIN, the ITF's tournament entry system. By year-end more than 128,000 courses had been completed online via the ITF Academy. Educa on sessions were also delivered in person to players at the junior Grand Slam events and ITF tournaments.
