Growing the regional footprint There were a record 24 M25 tournaments in Africa in 2024, a figure that has tripled in five years, while South America hosted 17, the most since 2015. We are inves ng in growing the regional base of the ITF World Tennis Tour at the lower, entry levels for both men and women, so that geography is not a barrier for ge ng started in professional tennis. This growth, enabled by targeted investment from our Balanced Calendar Fund, resulted in 11,004 players compe ng on the tour in 2024 across 1,200 tournaments in 72 countries (see graphic right). New on tour We launched tournament organiser and lead physiotherapist educa on modules in 2024 on the ITF Academy pla orm, to support our event teams around the world to promote a safe, fair and professional experience for everyone involved. From April 2025 we are introducing the ITF World Tennis Number as a method of tournament entry. This supersedes previous procedures for players without an ATP, WTA or ITF ranking, and ensures players are accepted purely on their ability. At the heart of all improvements on the ITF World Tennis Tour is our consulta on with players and our Player Panels, whose feedback on subjects such as ball change frequency and prac ce ball availability has driven change in these areas. More streaming The profile of the tour con nues to grow and receives a boost in 2025 with a new streaming agreement which will make 22,000 matches available to watch during the year, up from approximately 7,000 matches as recently as 2022.
