20 Development Touring teams The touring team programme gives talented juniors aged 13 and over the chance to compete in top interna onal tournaments, with travel and coaching provided for the group. In 2023, we selected and organised eight interna onal teams funded by the GSPDP, featuring 39 players from 18 na ons. Highlights included Bulgaria's Iliyan Radulov reaching the boys' quarterfinals at the Australian Open and Wimbledon, and Mara Gae of Romania winning the US Open girls' doubles tle (with Anastasiia Gureva). The GSPDP also funded 20 regional tours in 2023. We work with our ITF Development Officers and affiliated Regional Associa ons to iden fy promising girls and boys from all over the world, who we can support via touring teams and other development opportuni es. Forty-three juniors took part in five regional touring teams for 14-and-unders that travelled to Europe. Compe ng in some of the world's best events at this level, team members achieved top four finishes in every tournament, and won 12 of the 24 tles available. In the 14-and-under interna onal tour to USA, Turkey's Samim Feliz and Yeri Hong of Korea reached the semi-finals of the pres gious Eddie Herr Championships in Florida. In 2024, we are sending touring teams to each of the junior Grand Slam events, and to entry-level professional events in Africa. Regional training The African Regional Training Centre in Sousse, Tunisia, had its first full year in 2023, providing full- me training and schooling for 14 players from 10 African na ons.
