The ITF has published its 2022 ITF Annual Review, providing a full report of our ac vi es last year and a detailed breakdown of finances. Our revenue grew by 47.6% in 2022 to $98.3 million, and we were able to convert the majority of this income into $85 million of contribu on to the global game in support of our mission to deliver tennis for future genera ons. The ITF spent $12 million on interna onal development in 2022, an increase of nearly 45% on the previous year and reflec ng significant recovery for our development ac vi es following the pandemic. This increased funding supported the work of the ITF's member na ons in increasing par cipa on and developing talent from the grassroots up. ITF publishes Annual Review Wheelchair tennis legends Esther Vergeer and Rick Draney were inducted into the Interna onal Tennis Hall of Fame in July. Vergeer and Draney became the sixth and seventh wheelchair athletes to be enshrined, joining Brad Parks, Randy Snow, Chantal Vandierendonck, David Hall and Monique Kalkman-van den Bosch. Their induc on marks the first me that the Hall of Fame has elected two wheelchair candidates in the same year. One of the most decorated Dutch athletes of all- me, Vergeer is a 21- me Grand Slam champion, 13- me ITF World Champion, and four- me Paralympic gold medallist in singles. For 10 years, she was unbeaten and held the No. 1 ranking for 668 consecu ve weeks. Vergeer also won 23 Grand Slam doubles tles and four Paralympic doubles medals, three of them gold. "Tennis gave me confidence. Tennis was making me laugh. Tennis was making me take back control over my life, believing in myself, trus ng that everything would be all right. I have never felt more comfortable than I have on a tennis court," said Vergeer. "I accept this honour, and I am mindful of the responsibility it carries: a responsibility to inspire the next genera on of tennis players, wheelchair tennis players included, to foster a love for the sport and create pathways for individuals who dare to dream," she added. Draney is a pioneer of the quad division of wheelchair tennis. The American earned 12 singles and six doubles tles at the Super Series level, before wheelchair tennis's inclusion in Grand Slam tournaments. Draney spent a combined 591 weeks in the doubles and singles top 10. "I am proud of the many opportuni es I had to share what I had learned and developed with other quadriplegics so they could par cipate in play," said Draney. "I am proud of being an advocate and campaigner for possibili es and opportuni es for growth of the quad division in the United States and around the world." Vergeer and Draney were presented with their Interna onal Tennis Hall of Fame medals at the induc on ceremony in Newport, USA by Kim Clijsters, Honorary President of the ITHF.
