DAVIS CUP 14 Summer 2023 ITF World GROUP A IN BOLOGNA: CANADA, ITALY, SWEDEN, CHILE Italy's Jannik Sinner confirmed his status as one of the rising stars of the game as he lifted his first ATP Masters 1000 title in Toronto in August and he has been named in Filippo Volandri's team for ties to be played on Italian soil in Bologna. Defending champions Canada will be led by Denis Shapovalov, with the experienced Vasek Pospisil also part of their team for the trip to southern Europe. Dragos Madaras is a player to watch in the Sweden team after his stunning success on the ITF World Tennis Tour in 2023, while Nicolas Jarry and Christian Garin will carry the Chilean hopes in Italy. GROUP B IN MANCHESTER: AUSTRALIA, GREAT BRITAIN, FRANCE, SWITZERLAND Andy Murray makes a return to Davis Cup action as he was selected by captain Leon Smith in the Great Britain side for the ties that will be played at home in Manchester. Murray, who is set to take part in his 25th Davis Cup tie, was a star of Great Britain's 2015 winning team and he is joined in a strong squad by Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans and Wimbledon doubles champion Neal Skupski. Australia will also bring a powerful team to Manchester, with Alex de Minaur joined by the in-form Jordan Thompson and Thanasi Kokkinakis. Stan Wawrinka is set to play his 26th Davis Cup tie for 2014 Davis Cup champions Switzerland, and France will look to Adrian Mannarino and Ugo Humbert to carry their charge. Davis Cup THE LINE-UPS The 2023 Davis Cup Finals Group Stage takes place in four cities from 12 to 17 September. Sixteen nations will battle to be one of eight to go through to the 2023 Davis Cup Final 8 – the grand finale of the men's World Cup of Tennis which will be held in Malaga, Spain on 21-26 November.
