TOURS AND PLAYER PATHWAY The ITF World Tennis Tour is the main player pathway, providing singles and doubles tournaments for men and women at every step, from junior and entry-level tournaments to higher level professional events. The tour serves as a development circuit for the top professional levels of the sport. As players become more successful, they progress along the pathway to ATP and WTA events, and ul mately the Grand Slam tournaments. It all starts with the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors, where the ITF provides tournaments and ranking points so that the best players can step up to the professional game. The UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour offers similar opportuni es, providing levels of tournaments and associated ranking points which enable players to progress from juniors to elite events, including the NEC Wheelchair Masters and the Grand Slam tournaments. The ITF also manages tours and rankings for beach tennis and seniors tennis (for 30 years plus). The ITF provides tennis players across the world with a variety of events and associated opportuni es to enter the game, improve their skills and work their way up to higher levels. 24
