DEVELOPMENT Administration and resources The ITF makes tennis development projects across the areas of par cipa on, performance, events, educa on and facili es possible by providing the resources and dedicated staff required. Global Development Officers The ITF is the only tennis body to employ Development Officers who work full- me in regions across the world to grow the game and help to focus the ITF's strategy to meet member Na onal Associa ons' needs. ITF Development Officers evaluate and monitor how funds and resources are used, and work to bring the right programmes and training to players and coaches within their dedicated region. They also play an important role in iden fying talent and co-ordina ng regional compe ons. Na onal Associa on funding All 210 member Na onal Associa ons can gain access to ITF funding for specific development projects or areas, including educa on, par cipa on and facili es. This is determined by an assessment of Development Eligibility, based on each Na onal Associa on's respec ve level of resources and representa on within professional tennis. Each na on is categorised into a par cular er based on these criteria, which determines the level of support required within a certain project or area. The ers are re-assessed on an annual basis. Regional administra on grants In 2021, the ITF provided a total of $684,000 in administra on grants to our six Regional Associa ons. The money is used to support them with various aspects of their overall running costs, including office administra on and rent, hos ng mee ngs and other associated resources.
