• In addi on to the money re-invested back into the game by the ITF, funding for the development of tennis is also
provided by the four Grand Slam tournaments via the Grand Slam Player Development Programme (formerly the
Grand Slam Development Fund)
• Since its incep on in 1986, the programme has contributed over $57 million to interna onal player development
• In 2021 the programme delivered $1.12 million in support of talented players worldwide through grants, tournaments
and touring teams. The figure was a reduced amount compared to normal years, given the Covid-19 disrup on, but is
expected to return to the pre-pandemic figure of $3 million in 2022
