26 • ITF Global Tennis Report 2021 PLAYERS RANKED IN TOP 250 The number of players ranked in the junior Top 250 or professional Top 250 in 2019, having competed in at least one match during the period 1 January to 31 December. Juniors • 712 junior players from 82 na ons achieved a Top 250 ranking in 2019. • 26 na ons made up 75% of the Top 250 junior ranked players. • Players from 10 na ons accounted for 49% of both the boys' and girls' Top 250. See Fig 22 • Over half of the players in the junior Top 250 were from Europe. See Fig 23 Professionals • In 2019, 640 professional players from 68 na ons achieved a Top 250 ranking. • 20 na ons made up 75% of the Top 250 ranked players. • Within the Top 250, there were 316 male players from 61 na ons, and 324 female players from 54 na ons. • Players from 7 na ons accounted for 50% of the men's Top 250. • Players from 9 na ons accounted for more than 50% of the women's Top 250.
