20 • ITF Global Tennis Report 2021 The ITF has established criteria regarding the minimum standards for delivering na onal coach educa on. Each Na onal Associa on can apply for ITF recogni on based on these criteria, and will be awarded either White, Bronze, Silver or Gold level. As of May 2021, 27 out of the 41 contribu ng Na onal Associa ons had achieved ITF recogni on for their na onal coach educa on systems, as detailed below. Using the data in this report, we know that these 27 Na onal Associa ons account for 46.3% of tennis players from the 41 surveyed na ons (40.3 million players) and 66.8% of tennis coaches (9,545 coaches).
