Included in the salary costs of the departments is the remuneration of the executive officers, which for the purposes of these financial statements, is defined as the President, the Chief Operating Officer and the executive directors and are considered to be 'key management'. The total executive officers' remuneration is: The total staff costs of $10,269,000 (2019: $12,838,000), have been charged to the six departments as follows: Staff numbers in both years include an average of ten ITF Development Officers who work overseas with developing tennis nations to ensure the ITF's Development Programmes are successfully implemented. In addition, staff costs of $221,000 were capitalised in the year in relation to software development (2019: $221,000). 22
