PRESIDENTIAL & MARKETING THE GAME the tennis play and stay campaign has continued to grow with over 160 nations supporting the programme globally ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING S eventy-three member nations, comprising over 200 delegates, partners and staff, attended the 2012 ITF AGM in Copenhagen, Denmark on 12-13 July. HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, officially opened the Meeting. The AGM approved various amendments to the Constitution, Davis Cup and Fed Cup Regulations and the Rules of Tennis, as well as approving seven awards for Services to the Game. Membership The AGM agreed an increase in Chinese Taipei Tennis Association's shares from 3 to 5. The ITF has 210 member nations, comprising 145 Class B members (shareholders) and 65 Class C (associate) members. 30 PRESIDENTIAL & COMMUNICATIONS Marketing the Game The Tennis Play and Stay campaign continued to grow, with over 160 nations supporting the initiative globally within their domestic development structures and continuing to use the supporting programmes to promote the key messages positioning tennis as Easy, Fun and Healthy. The rule change linked to Tennis10s, eliminating the use of the regular yellow ball in 10 and under competition, came into effect in January 2012. At the end of November, the ITF held the third Tennis Play and Stay seminar. Over 150 delegates from 60 nations were present during the event at the LTA's National Tennis Centre, London on 27-30 November. Those people responsible for tennis participation in their National Associations were in attendance, as well as other important tennis constituents including the two professional tours and the Tennis Industry Association.
