American Sofia Kenin toasted her success
after joining the Grand Slam winners club
by defeating Spain's Garbine Muguruza in
the women's singles final at the Australian
Open in early February.
"My dream officially came true," said Kenin
following her 4-6 6-2 6-2 victory. "Dreams
come true. If you have a dream then go for it –
it will come true. These two weeks have been
the best two weeks of my life."
In defeating Muguruza, the 21-year-old
sealed the first victory from a set down in a
women's singles final at Melbourne Park since
Victoria Azarenka overcame Li Na in 2013.
