By the end of April that conundrum will be solved, with the countdown to the inaugural Fed Cup Finals in Budapest, where 12 teams will do battle for the much- coveted title, well underway. The clock is very much ticking and by virtue of the tournament's Qualifiers in February, the line-up for the Finals will be set in stone within a matter of weeks. Eight nations will join the four who are already guaranteed a place on the clay of the Laszlo Papp Budapest Sports Arena in the competition's new 'World Cup of Tennis' format. France and Australia, together with hosts Hungary and wild cards Czech Republic were already guaranteed a place but Julien Benneteau's side will arrive on the banks of the Danube in buoyant mood. That heightened sense of kudos stems from events at the RAC Arena in November when France straddled the
