26 • ITF Global Tennis Report 2019 PLAYERS RANKED IN TOP 250 The number of players ranked in the junior Top 250 or professional Top 250 in 2017. Juniors • 761 junior players from 81 na ons achieved a Top 250 ranking. • 23 na ons made up 74% of the Top 250 ranked junior players. • More than 50% of players in the boys' Top 250 were from 11 na ons. • More than 50% of players in the girls' Top 250 were from 9 na ons. See Fig 22 • Almost 50% of players in the junior Top 250 were from Europe. See Fig 23 Professionals • 671 professional players from 69 na ons achieved a Top 250 ranking. • 20 na ons made up 74% of the Top 250 ranked players. • Within the Top 250, there were 341 male players from 59 na ons, and 330 female players from 55 na ons. • Players from 8 na ons accounted for more than 50% of the men's Top 250. • Players from 9 na ons accounted for more than 50% of the women's Top 250.
