LOOKING ahead SEPTEMBER ITF Super-Seniors World Team and Individual Championships UMAG, CROATIA 16-22 September and 22-29 September Nine trophies will be up for grabs in the Team Championships and singles, doubles and mixed doubles titles will be fought over in the Individual Championships. Both competitions are the highest-ranked events on the ITF Seniors Circuit for players in the age category 65-plus to 85-plus. Junior Davis Cup and Junior Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Finals BUDAPEST, HUNGARY 25-30 September The finals of the team events for 16-and-under players will see 16 boys' and 16 girls' teams vying for titles. The trophies in 2017 were lifted by the two top seeds, Czech Republic – their first Junior Davis Cup crown for 20 years – and USA respectively. OCTOBER Youth Olympic Tennis Event BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA 7-14 October Tennis will be one of 32 sports contested at the third Summer Youth Olympic Games with singles, doubles and mixed doubles crowns for boys and girls. The Tennis Event is an ITF Grade A competition that brings together the world's best players in the 18-and-under age category. OCTOBER ITF Junior Masters CHENGDU, CHINA 22-28 October Now in its fourth year, the round robin tournament is fully incorporated into the 18-and- under ITF Junior Circuit and offers world ranking points that will help determine the year-end No. 1 ranking. The top eight boys and top eight girls on the Road to Chengdu at the end of the qualification period on 10 September will be eligible to compete. ITF Young Seniors World Team and Individual Championships MIAMI BEACH, FL, USA 21-26 October and 27 October-3 November It is the turn of the ITF Young Seniors – players in the 35-45 age category – to take to the court for their World Championships, and this year Florida plays host after the event was staged in Cape Town in 2017. Six titles are on offer in the Team Championships. NOVEMBER Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Final PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC 10-11 November The two most successful teams in the tournament's history will do battle for Fed Cup honours in the World Group final. Ten-time winners Czech Republic are bidding for a sixth title in just eight years, while holders USA have eyes on their 19th Fed Cup title, having dispatched Belarus in last year's finale. NOVEMBER UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters BEMMEL, NETHERLANDS 14-18 November The top eight men's, top six women's and top four quad wheelchair doubles pairs compete in the season-ending championships, which carry ITF Masters Series status, offer a rich pool of ranking points and could go some distance to determining the year-end world No. 1 doubles players. Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Final VENUE TO BE DETERMINED 23-25 November Last-four showdowns between defending champions France and Spain in Lille and Croatia and USA in Split in September will decide the make-up of the 2018 Davis Cup by BNP Paribas final, and the host nation. Twelve months ago, France won their 10th Davis Cup title with victory over Belgium. Their first triumph in the competition for 16 years, since 2001, was celebrated wildly by the vast majority of a 27,000 crowd at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille. It was their fourth appearance in a final since last lifting the trophy, having finished as the runners- up in 2002, 2010 and 2014. NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters ORLANDO, FL, USA 28 November-2 December The top eight men and women along with the top six quads will be invited to compete in the ITF year-end wheelchair singles championships, which are being staged at Lake Nona, Orlando.
