THE BIG PICTURE ITFWorld // SUMMER 2018 2 9 RUSSIA HELD THEIR NERVE TO NAVIGATE A TENSE FINAL AGAINST HOSTS CZECH REPUBLIC AND SEAL THEIR FIRST ITF WORLD JUNIOR TENNIS GIRLS' TITLE SINCE 2015 IN PROSTEJOV IN AUGUST. The clash boiled down to the deciding doubles rubber and Diana Shnaider and Erika Andreeva dispatched Linda Fruhvirtova and Linda Noskova 64 64. The boys' final was a more straightforward affair as USA, who had been imperious all week and reached the final without suffering a loss, brushed aside Czech Republic. Bruno Kuzuhara eased past Oldrich Vejsicky 60 60, while Victor Lilov beat Hynek Barton 63 64, as USA captured their maiden boys' ITF World Junior Tennis crown for six years.
